hmm well Im having fun with capping shrines in RA at least I won when
the opponents had 2 protect monks of doom by out capping them and killing
lone cappers but I am one of the pve players that does very little pvp
Also i guess 10 min maybe long for you guys but personally it does not feel
like much to me meh must be all those dungeons I play in lol

This is the most worthless idea ever.
MAYBE viable for TA (still, no), but in RA where you have entirely unorganized teams you expect the people to be entirely organized and actually play an HB map well?
lol.
Stupidest idea ever. REMOVE HB FROM TA/RA.

I really have to be for this as well. Getting coordination in RA is tough enough as it is. I played tonight and it was just ridiculous, especially since I was a healer and the team kept splitting up trying to solo cap.

Didn't bother reading all the pages but what I have to say is this:
Hero Battles are people battling with their HEROES. Heroes and/or hench are not allowed in RA/TA, so why the he|| bring those maps in? I thought they were pushing us slightly to play HB but this is ridiculous, and mind I usually am "pro Anet".

I am not 100% against the HB maps, I really liked them and found it really fun. However after an hour I got 1 glad point (2 from weekend bonus) and well...1 hour = 1 glad...wtf gtfo the problem is these maps are LONG and while they may be fun i dont like playing for 40+ minutes to get popped off before win #5 because I endured 3 cap maps and 1 normal RA map.
I'd like the HB maps to be greatly reduced in instance, less chance of us fighting on them.

Like i said in a thread that i made up, and suddenly ´´disappear´´, want HB in RA TA.. we need ingame VOIP like W.o.W, ok take out HB maps from RA TA we STILL need VOIP like in WOW thanks.
PS: Before the QQ about vent and TS, im talking for the Casual Gamers.

this is so annoying, you can lose without dying because youre team are idiots and just mob+cap in the middle...(im healing so if i run off to cap the 3 guys are dead).
I've only got 16 points from this double weekend and ive been playing for quite a while....these stupid maps are such a waste of time.

Vent isnt that hard to use to the point were casualer's cant do it, and generally superior to in game VOIP. Alot of serious WoW guilds prefer vent anyways due to its superior flexibility.

remove it from RA not from TA.
In TA you have vent or TS mostly so communication is ok.
In RA its really stupid.

Please remove these maps from RA at least. The maps are broken, aren't fun, take too long and drag down the fast paced game play of RA and foster gimmick builds. They also effectively ruined the double bonus weekend for me.

after much testing here is my feedback.
RA requires that you being res sig, but these HB maps are made so you dont need res sig, thats the problem.
you also have to change your build to suit 2 kinds of gametype, which is impractical

+ one of those gametypes ( HB for you slow ones out their ) Is completely unbalanced in favor of the shadow step mechanic. Everything going /A = ftl.

Oh certainly, I was really referring to the drastic pigeon-holing of builds.
My little tirade on how to fix RA/PVP/the game.
1) Remove HB maps from RA, have them as a game-type option in TA.
2) Make it so you can exchange Balth faction for gold, say 5 Balth=1 gold. That gets real rewards out there and gives people with UAX something to dump their stuff into.
3) Don't force 10 game winning streak teams into TA from RA. Make it so 5 wins=1 glad point, 10=2, 15=3 etc just how it is but when you get to a 25 win streak, you get 1 glad point for every other win and your team gets marked as a "Scourge." Any team facing a Scourge team will be notified by a blessing in the corner that gives them a minor boost of some kind (5% morale?) If a random team beats a scourge team, they get double faction and an automatic glad point. If a scourge team gets to 40 then they get points towards a scourge title track that increases your Balth faction cap. After this they just get put back into RA, D1.
